WHY BRUCE?

Bruce is an impressive, heavily built English Cream Golden with the big, masculine look that immediately gets your attention. His most striking features are his massive blocky head, broad muzzle, thick bone, wide chest and powerful, stout frame. Looking through his photos, he has tremendous substance while still maintaining a balanced Golden Retriever outline, along with a beautiful light cream coat and strong dark pigmentation. His breeder describes him as energetic, playful and extremely people-oriented, and later as a “gentle giant” who wins over visitors.

What makes Bruce especially exciting to us is his exceptional sire side. His sire is a Moldova Champion from the highly respected Spanish Thevenet line, and behind him is a concentration of accomplished European bloodlines including Ramchaine, Hellacious Acres and Vestafjell. One of the standout dogs in this line is Multi Champion Noah of the Hellacious Acres, an International Show Champion as well as Dutch, Danish, German and VDH Champion, GRC Clubwinner 2013 and European Junior winner. Bruce’s paternal pedigree continues with additional International, Spanish and C.I.E. champions. This is a pedigree built around generations of highly successful European show dogs.

HEALTH CLEARANCES

Bruce also comes with a strong set of health clearances. He has OFA Excellent hips, OFA normal elbows, and OFA certifications for heart and eyes. His genetic testing shows him clear for ICH-1 and PRA1 and a carrier for PRA2. Being a carrier does not mean that Bruce is affected by PRA2; when bred to a genetically clear female, affected puppies are not expected. His combination of excellent orthopedic results, cardiac and eye clearances, and documented genetic testing gives us an important health foundation to go along with his exceptional pedigree, structure and type.

BRUCE × LIZZY

We are very excited about this pairing. Lizzy already brings a massive head, thick bones and strong, stocky build, together with our Henry, Thor and Bond lines. Bruce adds another level of head, bone, width, masculine substance and exceptional European championship bloodlines.

We expect Bruce and Lizzy to produce big, substantial, astonishingly beautiful puppies with broad blocky heads, thick bone, strong bodies and beautiful light cream coats. Of course every puppy develops individually, but genetically and structurally this is exactly the kind of pairing we look for when breeding for that unmistakable large, blocky English Cream look.

We believe in this combination strongly enough that we will be keeping a girl from this litter for our own program.
